DHP Family: ‘2017 is a big year for growth’
DHP Family has marked 2017 as another year for growth after re-launching its online ticketing platform alt.tickets today with a new brand and improved customer experience.
The update will allow it to sell more tickets for its own events via the website, as well as those taking place at DHP venues and elsewhere but promoted by Live Nation, Kilimanjaro, AEG Live, SJM, and more.
Ticketing Operations Manager Tina Edwards said: “Our objective is to sell more tickets through our own platform and provide a service to the customer from start to finish.
“Our objective is to sell more tickets through our own platform and provide a service to the customer from start to finish. We are really striving to be more customer focused than ever.”
“That means they book through us, attend our venues, see our concerts, and get a real 360-degree experience with DHP Family.
“As an independent and flexible company, we’ve got the luxury of being able to offer lower booking fees, lower postage, and exceptional service.
“We are really striving to be more customer focused than we have been in the past.”
Alt.tickets launched in 2000 to sell tickets for events taking place at venues operated by the independent promoter from the box office of its flagship venue Rock City in Nottingham.
In June last year, the Rock City box office closed, and is now a digital-only offering. Over the last year, the platform has opened up to promoters selling tickets to non-DHP events.
The updated version delivers a more user-friendly and mobile responsive interface. Its new look brings the brand in line with the rest of DHP Family.
Features include the option for opening an account to speed up the booking process, regular blogs, and exclusive offers, competitions and pre-sales rewarding customer loyalty.
In May, DHP Family acquired London venues The Borderline and The Garage from Live Nation.
Alongside Rock City, other venues operated by DHP include the 375-capacity Oslo in Hackney, Rescue Rooms, Stealth and The Bodega in Nottingham and Thekla in Bristol.
Are there any more acquisitions on the cards? Edwards hints that more news will arrive next year.
“The growth of DHP Family is definitely something that everyone is striving towards, whether that be concerts, venues or the operations that we run,” she explained.
“This year has been a big year for growth and next year we hope to do the same again.”
