TEG forms JV with EDM promoter Division Agency
TEG has announced a “strategic alliance” with Division Agency, a youth-focused promoter, venue operator and artist management company, to promote EDM tours and events in Australasia.
Geoff Jones, the CEO of TEG – the parent company of Australia’s largest ticket agency, Ticketek – says the link-up will marry “Division Agency’s genre knowledge with TEG’s strength as a promoter and marketer”.
Division Agency is headed up Scott Robertson, who as an agent/promoter at Future Music Group was one of the driving forces behind Future Music Festival, which ran from 2007 until 2015. He was recently joined at Division by Future alumnus Jason Ayoubi, who serves as a partner and director.

“This alliance makes sense from so many angles, and the winners will be EDM fans and artists,” says Jones. “TEG has a diverse and dynamic roster of artists who we promote, and we have great respect for Jason and Scott’s achievements and ambitions. There are exciting times ahead.”
Ayoubi says he’s excited to begin working with Robertson once more. “We’ve achieved great things together and there’s so much more to come,” he comments. “I’m looking forward to producing some massive projects and enjoying the buzz that only comes from doing what I love: putting on iconic, life-enhancing events.”
In addition to Ticketek, TEG owns self-service ticketing platform Eventopia, promoter TEG Live and data business TEG Analytics. Major shows for TEG Live in 2017 include Guns N’ Roses’ Not in this Lifetime tour, Katy Perry’s upcoming Witness tour and the Australian debut of the Intel Extreme Masters esports tournament.
The company is believed to be for sale, with CTS Eventim and Chinese conglomerates Fosun and Wanda Group among prospective buyers.
