Live Nation and Optus announce partnership

Live Nation Australia and Optus have today announce a multi-year partnership, which will see customers of the Australian telecommunications company receive exclusive live music benefits.

Through the Optus Perks scheme, prepaid, postpaid and broadband customers can access Live Nation event presales, special promotions and premium fan experiences.

The deal adds to the telecoms company’s existing musical alliances, which include Spotify, Google Play Music and iHeartRadio. Speaking about the new partnership, Roger Field, CEO of Live Nation Australia says the company has, “great credentials in supporting the Australian industry and we are excited to be partnering with them.

“With the huge growth of the experience economy, and with live music at the centre of this, Optus values the power of live bringing a number of benefits to their customers with this partnership.”

Managing director of marketing and product at Optus, Ben White, adds, “We’re really excited to be teaming up with Live Nation to reward our customers with special access to presale tickets and events by some of the world’s biggest and most popular music artists.”

To celebrate the start of the partnership, the two companies are offering fans the chance to win $20,000 worth of concert tickets. Dubbed “the most entertaining year ever,” the promotion offers customers 12 months of VIP Live Nation concert experiences.
