Magnificent Music joins KBK

German promoter KBK Konzert- und Künstleragentur, known primarily for presenting shows by established and heritage acts, has made a bid for a greater share of the club market with the acquisition of booking agency Magnificent Music.

Klaus Bönisch, the founder and CEO of KBK – itself a division of DEAG – explains: “KBK has traditionally promoted shows by big rock acts in Germany. The younger generation is again interested in ‘handmade’ rock and there a lot of very young rock bands from Germany. It’s time for new big rock bands. We have taken this into account by working with Magnificent Music.”

Berlin-based Magnificent, whose roster includes indie favourites such as Baby Woodrose, The White Dukes and Wucan, will now operate as a division of KBK, joining its existing Visionary Collective agency.

“It is a great honour for us to work with such a traditional concert promoter,” says Magnificent Music founder Alexander ‘Äxl’ Schulze. “I am convinced that, as a boutique agency, we can further professionalise ourselves with this strong partner behind us, and that we will offer our artists an even better service on every scale.”
