FKP Scorpio Sweden replenishes booking team

FKP Scorpio Sweden has replenished its booking team after a handful of staff left the firm to launch their own promoting company.

The Swedish branch of the European concert and festival promoter has now upped Chris Rotenius to head of booking and hired Lola Loog as promoter.

With over a decade of experience as a promoter and booker, Rotenius has organised concerts with international stars such as W.A.S.P., 50 Cent, and Scorpions and played an instrumental role in Stockholm Rock Out and Gefle Metal Festival. He joined FKP Scorpio in 2022.

“Chris’ extensive experience and wide-reaching network within the music industry position him as the ideal leader to guide the booking department into the future,” the company adds.

Lola Loog joins FKP Scorpio Sweden from All Things Live where she was a booker and event promoter for over five years.

Loog started her career as a teenager assisting with production and bookings at RL Concerts in Finland. Her achievements include overseeing headline bookings like Stormzy for Finland’s Weekend Festival and managing international shows in Helsinki.

“With Chris and Lola on board, we are elevating our booking department to the next level”

She joined All Things Live Finland in 2019, spending nearly five years there before transitioning to the firm’s Swedish office.

“Lola’s exceptional talent for identifying emerging artists and curating culturally impactful events adds a valuable dimension to the FKP Scorpio Sweden team,” according to FKP.

“With Chris and Lola on board, we are elevating our booking department to the next level. Chris has a deep understanding of both artists and audiences, while Lola brings a forward-thinking international perspective that will be a major asset. Together, they enhance our ability to deliver unique live experiences for music lovers in Sweden and the Nordic region,” says Božo Rasic, managing director, FKP Scorpio Sweden.

FKP Scorpio CEO Folkert Koopmans adds: “FKP Sweden has been writing a success story for ten years – with more than 200 shows and concerts per year, including acts such as Ed Sheeran, Gorillaz, Sam Smith and Radiohead, as well as many Scandinavian artists. Strengthening the booking team with Chris and Lola is a logical continuation of our strategy in Sweden, which is based on growth and innovation as well as experience and continuity.”

In November, FKP Scorpio Sweden partners Niklas Lundell and Joel Borg left the company after six years to launch their own promoting brand Rush Entertainment.

They were joined by fellow FKP colleagues Johanna Beckman (promoter), Magnus Olsson (partnerships), Dino Vulic (projects) and Agneta Edgren (finance).
