Festicket hires ex-Universe exec for US launch

UK-based festival travel portal Festicket has hired ex-Live Nation exec Lauren Pye to lead its expansion into North America.

Pye – formerly VP of sales at DIY ticketing platform Universe – will head up Festicket’s new office in San Francisco as president, North America.

Zack Sabban, Festicket CEO and co-founder, says: “Our new San Francisco office is in very capable hands with Lauren, who brings with her a wealth of experience in the ticketing and music industry and deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges we’re likely to face stateside. We’re delighted to have her on board as we look towards building exciting US partnerships.”

“There’s so much potential in the North American market, where adding value is everything”

“Festicket has built a strong reputation for itself by working with most of the major music festivals in Europe already, and there’s so much potential in the North American market, where adding value is everything,” adds Pye (pictured).

“I am very much looking forward to bringing Festicket’s excellent one-stop shop solution for ticket, accommodation and travel packages to the event industry in North America.”

Festicket packages tickets with travel, accommodation and other add-ons to create “complete festival trips”, working with more than 1,000 partner music festivals in 40 countries. Alongside its London HQ, the company has offices in Berlin, Amsterdam and Oporto.
