Etix acquires Interactive Ticketing

Etix, a ticketing solutions provider with more 1,800 clients internationally, is to acquire Seattle-based ticketing software company Interactive Ticketing.

North Carolina-headquartered Etix, which also has offices in Nashville, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, China and Japan, counts among its partners Hopscotch Music Festival, Rockhal (6,500-cap.) in Luxembourg, WesBanco Arena (5,406-cap.) in Wheeling, West Virginia, Headliners Music Hall (800-cap.) in Louisville, Kentucky, and the National Theatre (1,676-cap.) in Washington, DC. Interactive Ticketing, meanwhile, has a “strong client base in amusement parks, consumer shows, fairs, expos and more”, says Etix.

The acquisition follows October’s purchase of ExtremeTix and TicketBiscuit.

“We are excited to welcome Interactive Ticketing’s client base and employees to the Etix family”

Paxton Badham, Etix’s president, says: “We are excited to welcome Interactive Ticketing’s client base and employees to the Etix family and look forward to continuing the exceptional level of service that their clients are used to.”

“We’re excited to end the year with Travis [Janovich, CEO] and Paxton and their great team,” adds Interactive Ticketing CEO and president David Arevalo. “Terry [Howisey] and I founded the company with the principle of making it as simple as possible to sell tickets online.

“The ticketing industry has changed a lot since 1999 and Etix has been leading the way, continuously adding and updating features.”
