Evvnt buys ticketing/discovery platform EventViva

British events marketing platform Evvnt, whose clients include DMP Concerts, Insomniac Events and the Alexandria Palace, has acquired live event ticketing and discovery service EventViva for an undisclosed sum.

Richard Green, Evvnt’s founder and CEO (pictured), says the company has worked with EventViva, which offers a similar service to Songkick but encompassing conferences, signings and other live events in addition to concerts, “for a number of years, and noted it was a popular site for [promoters] to post event listings to. We’re excited to acquire the assets to support our mission to educate event organisers on our single-submission event marketing technology on a global scale.”

Green adds that the acquisition will give Evvnt access to EventViva’s “200k+ event promoter database, which was created over the term of the business’s operation”.

“We decided to sell the assets to Evvnt as we believe our customers will be well taken care of,” says Aditya Patadia, one of EventViva’s co-founders. Since its founding in 2012, the service has listed more than 3.8 million events in over 1,000 cities worldwide.
