Linkin Park to play Champions League Final show

Linkin Park have been announced as headliners of the 2025 UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show.

Presented by Pepsi, the US rockers will perform at the Munich Football Arena in Germany on 31 May, directly before the start of the European football showpiece.

Since 2016, the opening ceremony has starred acts such as Dua Lipa, Imagine Dragons, Camila Cabello, Alicia Keys, Marshmello and most recently Lenny Kravitz at London’s Wembley Stadium last year.

“This marks a totally new experience for us as a band, and we’re excited to share some of our favourite songs from the past and present, with the thousands in the crowd and millions watching around the world,” say Linkin Park in a statement.

Linkin Park have composed and recorded an a new remix which features in a short film to mark the announcement. The band confirmed their comeback last year with Emily Armstrong as vocalist and released new album From Zero last November their first LP in seven years and first since the passing of frontman Chester Bennington.

The group resume their From Zero World Tour in the US in Austin, Texas on 26 April, winding their way across sold-out stadiums in Europe for the summer, and culminating in South America this autumn.

Eric Melis, VP of global brand marketing – Pepsi at PepsiCo, hails the group as “one of most influential rock bands of the 21st century”.

The UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show will be aired all around the world and territories globally.

Lenny Kravitz to headline UEFA final kick off show

US rock star Lenny Kravitz has been announced as headliner of the UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show presented by Pepsi at Wembley Stadium in London.

The performance will air in more than 200 countries and territories globally on 1 June, minutes before the European club football showpiece between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

Since 2016, the opening ceremony has welcomed acts such as Dua Lipa, Imagine Dragons, Camila Cabello, Alicia Keys and Marshmello.

“This year’s UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show presented by Pepsi will bring fans to their feet as legendary rock and roll icon Lenny Kravitz takes the stage to deliver one of his signature performances ahead of this year’s UEFA Champions League final,” says UEFA marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein.

The Kick Off Show will air through local broadcasters and the official UEFA YouTube channel. Pepsi has released a short film titled Wembley Is Blue | Lenny Kravitz x UCL Final Kick Off Show by Pepsi today to build anticipation ahead of the event.

Camila Cabello set for UEFA final opening ceremony

Pop star Camila Cabello will headline this year’s UEFA Champions League final opening ceremony.

The Cuban-American singer will perform a five-minute medley from the Stade de France, Paris on Saturday 28 May, moments prior to Liverpool and Real Madrid battling it out for the biggest prize in European football.

Now in its sixth year, the Pepsi Max-presented opening ceremony has previously hosted acts such as Dua Lipa, Imagine Dragons, Alicia Keys and Marshmello.

“Pepsi Max has been working with UEFA to build the opening ceremony platform since 2016 and we’re delighted to be returning to live stadium shows and bringing Camila Cabello to the stage this year,” says Pepsi’s global marketing VP Eric Melis. “Pepsi Max has a long and rich heritage in entertainment and this year’s show will not disappoint as we bring elements of Camila’s Latina spirit to one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year.”

This year’s opening ceremony performance will air in more than 200 countries and territories around the world, with fans able to tune in via their local broadcaster and through the official UEFA TikTok and YouTube channels.
