Eventbrite hires senior execs
Eventbrite has strengthened its executive team with two new hires. Omer Cohen joins the ticketing tech giant as chief people officer, while Brian Irving has been named chief brand officer.
As chief brand officer, tech industry veteran Irving, formerly of Apple, Google and Airbnb, is tasked with “leading a cross-functional effort to codify the company’s global brand strategy, storytelling and positioning in the market”, reads a statement from San Francisco-based Eventbrite.
Cohen, meanwhile, will lead the professional growth and development of Eventbrite’s employees (‘Britelings’) worldwide and oversee its company culture. Prior to joining Eventbrite, he held leadership roles at the tech firms Lytro and DigitalThink, and also served as president of the Great Place to Work Inc., which ranks America’s workplaces.
“Building a global brand that people love and a global community that amplifies our values is paramount to our mission of bringing the world together through live experiences,” says Eventbrite CEO/co-founder Julia Hartz. “Coming off a banner year of growth and momentum, we have a massive opportunity as we look ahead to 2018, but the destination is only a part of our end goal.
“How we get there – as both an organisation and a brand – is critically important and I can’t think of two better leaders than Brian and Omer to help us achieve success in this journey.”
