Business Development Manager

Ticketline are looking for an experienced and passionate Business Development Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who is dynamic, tenacious, hardworking and determined with solid negotiation skills to develop, manage and contribute to the business development strategy to support our growth plans.

Previous experience within the events or entertainment industry is desired, but not essential.

Your role as Business Development Manager will cover the following activities:

  • Obtain new clients and deliver growth for the business by identifying and securing new prospects across the arts and entertainment industry.
  • Direct input into the sales & marketing strategies of the business and ensure alignment with the continued growth of inventory and client expectations.
  • Build strong working relationships with new clients.
  • Maintain relations with existing clients that will be primarily handled by account managers to continue to develop their ticketing strategies, targets and growth.
  • Work extensively with the marketing team to enhance the sales pipeline and maximise lead generation opportunities and support general onboarding of new clients.
  • Support pricing strategies to maximise profitability and respond to requests for proposals and tenders for ticketing services.
  • Making both formal presentations and attending informal meetings with new and existing clients.
  • Develop a thorough and deep understanding of the business, its software systems and service that support new and existing clients, identifying further opportunities for growth.
  • Extensive collaboration with internal teams to deliver a realistic service for clients in line with set expectations.
  • Track and report on industry trends, competition and new market developments.
  • Over time, you will be able to build a small team, inclusive of their development and training plans and whilst motivating them to success.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven B2B business development experience (minimum 3 years), preferably, although not necessarily, obtained within the music industry
  • Ambitious, self-motivated with an established track record of successfully winning new business and building relationships with clients
  • Personable and adaptable with strong, influential relationship building skills to enable you to build relationships with a wide variety of potential clients from independent festival owners and club promoters to more corporate clients such as venue managers and those in the sports and exhibition industry
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across a wide range of key stakeholders with the ability to think outside the box and tap into unexplored revenue streams.
