The Halls, Wolverhampton, AEG Presents newest venue, is seeking a Production Manager.

You and your team will be responsible for the oversight of the technical aspects across both halls for all of our events. This ranges from the production elements of the ‘load in’ to ‘load out’ on event days; and on the non-event days this includes advancing shows; being the main point of contact for all enquiries as to the technical operation of The Halls; keeping the stage and backstage area functioning; ensuring there is a comprehensive and accurate asset list; overseeing a comprehensive maintenance programme; and ensuring there is a full clean and tidy working environment.

All of this work and the entire operation must be undertaken in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines, making sure that at all times we ensure that we maintain full legal compliance.

There is a requirement to have a sound working knowledge of the venue and where necessary take immediate action to ensure a safe working environment.

AEG’s philosophy is to go the extra mile in providing a full-service solution to all incoming venue hires, and this role is key to supporting that.

You’ll be responsible for rigging, power, audio and lighting, seating / flooring set ups and camera positions and work with the wider venue team to ensure the advance is adhered to.

You’ll ensure the stage and auditorium is clear for production and prepared as per the advance for every show; and that there is full understanding of the corporate events that are coming in and their requirements, forming a close working relations with the Head of F&B.

You’ll check all venue technical specification/information sheets are accurate and up to date and make sure that all event information has been received and filed / distributed following discussions with the relevant artists/production staff.

You’ll arrange and lead show stop briefing’s ensuring artist Production Managers / Promoter Reps are in attendance and sign off the relevant H&S documentation; and make sure incoming shows are fully conversant with all aspects of the venue specifications and facilities and to provide help wherever necessary.

We’re looking for someone with substantial production experience in music, theatre or entertainment venues or events. You’ll have a good knowledge of lighting, audio, video, pyrotechnics and SFX, staging, barrier systems and rigging; and experience in a management role spanning Technical Production including Production related Health and Safety.

With knowledge of key technical suppliers in the live events industry; you’ll understand power and distribution; hold an IOSH qualification and have experience with budgets and show costs.

You’ll be a team player who enjoys working in a high achieving environment, with a commitment to delivering the best and have a strong track record in building good working relationships across diverse business areas and functions, both internally and externally.

You’ll be an excellent people manager and be able to motivate your team and deliver continuous individual and team development to enhance your team’s capability.
