The Halls, Wolverhampton, AEG Presents newest venue, is seeking an Assistant Box Office Manager.

You’ll assist and in the absence of the Box Office Manager oversee all aspects of The Halls Wolverhampton Box Office.

You’ll be responsible for the initial set up of all events going on sale to include manifest creation and liaising directly with the promoting company; sales via AXS system, cash, credit card and ticket reconciliation and disability access sales and customer queries.

You’ll monitor event ticket sales in all outlets, sending ticket sales counts when requested by venue management or promoters and ensuring accurate records are kept of ticket allocations along with ticket distribution to outlets.

You’ll also carry out Box office staff HR duties to include and not exclusive to hiring, performance management and staff schedules.

You’ll liaise with promoters to ensure that their events are advertised showing venue details correctly; deal with general enquiries by email, telephone and in person and manage and distribute box office collection to include guest list allocation and bar pass distribution.

You’ll also keep accurate and detailed records for all events and projects in such a format that they are comprehensive in the event of leave or sickness

You’ll have experience of working in a box office environment within the live entertainment industry and expert knowledge of managing ticketing within venues, with the ability to grasp new information quickly.

Confident in building and managing diverse teams in busy public-facing environments; you’ll thrive on working in a busy and changing environment with a confident, personable approach.

With strong numerical skills, proficient in delivering accurate reports; you’ll have the ability to maximise revenue across all areas of venue ticketing wherever possible.

A passion for training, mentoring, and developing teams and leading from the front; you’ll have experience of managing rostering of staff and processing accurate hours for payroll.

A great communicator, you’ll be able to build good working relationships with both colleagues and external customers and clients.

You’ll want to raise the bar in this role, be solutions focussed and look for ways to maximise efficiency. We encourage new ideas and innovation. We will give you all the training in our systems, policies and procedures so that you’ll be set up for success.

 

Where: You’ll be based at the venue The Halls, Wolverhampton. This role will involve working evenings and weekends.
