greenbelt Greenbelt Festival

Accountable to – Managing Director

Conditions

Hours of work – Full-time

Working base – The role will involve mostly remote and flexible working, but with 1 (sometimes 2) days a week office-based at Greenbelt’s London office – The Nest, Church House, 86 Tavistock Place, London, WC1H 9RT

Salary – £35,000 to £38,000

Contract – Permanent

Annual Leave – 26 days

After two years without producing a full festival because of COVID (in 2020 we hosted a digital festival and in 2021 two pop-up camping gatherings, with add-ons), we can’t wait to get back to the fields in 2022 to welcome our audience back to what will be the 49th edition of Greenbelt. (Yes, we’re almost 50 years old!) We’ve missed making our festival of artistry, activism and belief so much – bringing our own hopeful revolution to the stunning grounds of Boughton House in a festival that’s radically inclusive, open-minded, and generous in spirit.

We’ve kept the flame alive online, though; we’ve learned loads and our audience have stayed faithful. But now we’re looking for someone to manage our event as we make our festival return. Because the festival is the place where we’re most Greenbelt.

We’re operating in a tough, crowded marketplace, and against a challenging economic and cultural backdrop. Added to which, COVID means that we won’t just be able to revert unthinkingly to ‘business as usual’. Your job will be to ensure the safety and smooth-running of the event, at the same time as working with the Programme Manager and wider team to ensure the festival is as creative and inspirational as it possibly can be.

We’re looking to hire a dynamic and multi-skilled Events Manager to join our team and help us ensure that as we build back with the festival we do so safely, inclusively, accessibly, sustainably and creatively.
