About Pub in the Park
The brainchild of Tom Kerridge, Pub in the Park, celebrates everything there is to love about the glorious British pub; delicious food, award-winning chefs, chart-topping music, great drinks but above all else a fantastic time with friends and family.

Launched in 2017, Pub in the Park started as a one location event at Higginson Park, Marlow. With a stellar line up of chefs, pubs and music the festival sold out in 24 hours. In 2018 we took this unique concept to four towns: Marlow, Bath, Tunbridge Wells and Knutsford, attracting over 67,000 people across the four shows.

In 2019, Pub in the Park grew further touring 8 locations adding Chiswick, St Albans, Warwick and Leeds to its destinations. Due to Covid-19, Pub in the Park took a break in 2020, but returned successfully in 2021 safely entertaining 130,000 visitors in 8 locations. With increased market confidence, 2022 saw us deliver a post-covid improved 8-show-tour of epic content. For 2023, we have grown the festival tour to 10 locations.

The Job
We are recruiting a confident, dynamic, highly motivated event promoter to work across our biggest ever Pub in The Park tour.

The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 09:30-17:30 with a 1-hour lunch break. Due to the nature of our business, flexibility is required with weekend working. The role is London based and offers hybrid working with two-three days per week in the Covent Garden based office (or on-site during events season), and three days from home.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, your ultimate objective will be selling tickets in all festival locations. You will be responsible for delivering the regional tour marketing campaign, creating awareness and buzz across the tour and in with each of your assigned festival destinations. This is a huge opportunity to work within the largest and fastest growing UK food and music events business.

Key Functions:

  • Create, develop, and implement the marketing strategy tailored for each location in order to achieve ticket targets
  • Formulate a strategic local marketing campaign based on research that includes paid, contra-deals & free opportunities
  • Research, learn & spend time in tour locations to improve understanding of relevant marketing opportunities and gain insight into the local target audience in each location and key segments
  • Understand the demographics of our target audiences and buying behaviours to develop strategies to maximise ticket sales
  • Day-to-day management of 2/3 Junior Event Promoters – conducting 1-2-1 meetings, setting objectives, checking progress, help them to solve problems
  • Review daily and weekly sales targets to track progress and continuously develop marketing tactics driven by achieving ticket sales targets
  • Conduct a daily review of Google Analytics to measure performance and effectiveness of marketing activities and ensure activity is effectively tracked
  • Provide reports and analysis of marketing activity and make recommendations on future initiatives based on the data
  • Ensure brand identity and consistency across regional tour marketing materials
  • Work closely with the PR team to advise on local PR stories and ensuring coverage for your assigned towns
  • Advise the central communications team of key messaging for each town location as well as copywriting for email, social and print campaigns
  • Create marketing assets using Canva Pro
  • Approach contacts (new & existing) via phone, email and in person to create partnerships and build relationships
  • Liaise with talent, venues, supporters & local businesses to maximise third party marketing
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure all deadlines are met and projects delivered on budget
  • Brainstorming, exploring, and implementing new & creative routes to market
  • Be onsite during event weekends and support the wider Marketing team with photography/videography, customer communications, box office and ticketing

  • Time Management skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines a must
  • Ability to work with all team members (from the most junior to the most senior)
  • Strong Interpersonal skills, excellent communicator
  • Budget Management Skills
  • Word, Powerpoint and Excel skills
  • An eye for design and Canva experience is preferable
  • Dot digital experience preferable
