Tallinn Music Week (TMW) is one of Europe’s leading city festivals with a carefully crafted line-up of various art forms for a curious mind. It is a celebration of creativity, curiosity, freedom and equality, it’s one of the major meeting points for Eastern, Western and Central European music and creative communities. The festival is presented by Nordea Bank.
TMW started out in 2009 as a showcase festival and conference for international music-industry players and emerging regional acts. The international music industry conference hosts discussion panels, presentations and networking opportunities for established industry players as well as new innovative brands and initiatives.
The two-day music industry conference with top international and local speakers, covers a wide range of topics from local cultural policy and regional cooperation to hands-on artist management tips and global music industry business models.
Each year, TMW’s opening speech is delivered by the Estonian president Toomas Hendrik Ilves – a passionate music fan and a sharp thinker with a wry sense of humour and wikipediac knowledge of pop culture.
The internationally recognised event brings together around 900 music industry players around the world.
