After a first edition in which over 400 people – participants and guests – from the Romanian and European cultural environment exchanged ideas and shared conclusions, the second edition continues the innovation on the Romanian market of the events events with another avant-garde program : English Music Export.
Thus, the first Romanian program in the entrepreneurial area, which assumes the European music promotion and export area, will be ready for the start with the second EEMC edition and will be available for participants and conference guests. On July 26th, producers, booking agents, promoters and cultural operators from Romania and Europe will attend a show by five Romanian troupes that pass through two stages of judging: first, made by a national jury, the second, by an international jury.
The EEMC brings together representatives of large-scale European festivals, producers and managers from the European music industry, in a unique event in the Romanian space. EEMC is the place where artists, managers, producers and cultural operators in Romania will have the opportunity to meet and initiate collaborations with special guests of the conference.
The Sibiu Conference is organized in collaboration with AROC – the Romanian Association of Concert and Cultural Events Organizers, which has as founding members the most important promoters in Romania, such as Emagic, Events, Electric Castle, Summer Well, ARTmania, Blaj aLive or Twin Arts, among others. EEMC is a project supported by Kaufland Romania.
Romanian Music Export has been set-up to promote Romanian music throughout the rest of Europe and is the first programme of its kind in Romania. It will take place on 26 July, the first day of the EEMC, and will invite producers, booking agents, promoters and cultural operators from Romania and Europe to attend a showcase of five of the hottest bands/artists Romania has to offer.
The EEMC provides an opportunity for representatives of large European festivals (such as Mad Cool Festival, EXIT Festival, and Roskilde Festival); European producers and managers; booking agents, and anyone else interested or involved with the music industry in eastern Europe, to get together, network and collaborate during this unique event held in the stunning Romanian city of Sibiu.
