East European Music Conference 2018: a meeting place for the Romanian and wider European music industry.
Preparations are already underway for the most important conference in the Romanian music industry calendar – the East European Music Conference (EEMC) – which will be held at the Thalia Hall in Sibiu, 26-28 July 2018. After the inaugural edition in 2017 attracted over 400 delegates from both the Romanian and wider European industry, the second edition will not only continue the discussions and showcases, but will also introduce its brand new programme: Romanian Music Export.
Romanian Music Export has been set-up to promote Romanian music throughout the rest of Europe and is the first programme of its kind in Romania. It will take place on 26 July, the first day of the EEMC, and will invite producers, booking agents, promoters and cultural operators from Romania and Europe to attend a showcase of five of the hottest bands/artists Romania has to offer.
The EEMC provides an opportunity for representatives of large European festivals (such as Mad Cool Festival, EXIT Festival, and Roskilde Festival); European producers and managers; booking agents, and anyone else interested or involved with the music industry in eastern Europe, to get together, network and collaborate during this unique event held in the stunning Romanian city of Sibiu.
