Nominations are now open for the New Bosses 2019, the latest edition of IQ’s annual list of ten future live music industry leaders, as decided by their peers.

“Anyone working in the live music industry, anywhere in the world, is eligible, provided they are aged 30 or under as of September 2019 and they have not featured in our New Bosses list before,” explains IQ editor Gordon Masson. “Ideally, we’re looking for those who are making a difference – the young players already changing and shaping the industry.”

Each of the ten most nominated rising stars will be showcased the next issue of IQ Magazine, and this will also form the nominations for the Tomorrow’s New Boss award at the International Live Music Conference (ILMC) in March 2020.

The nomination process is strictly anonymous, with the deadline for nominations Friday 26 July.

This year’s Tomorrow’s New Boss award was won by ICM Partners’ Kevin Jergenson – one of six agents featured in the booker-heavy New Bosses 2018 – who collected his Arthur from AEG Presents UK co-CEO Toby Leighton-Pope.

“To win an award like this, that is voted on solely by my peers within the industry, means so much to me,” he comments. “I really value the relationships that I have built through this business over the years, so to see that value and appreciation reciprocated is such a great feeling.

“Thank you to everyone who voted for me, and to everyone I have worked with over the years. I do my best to learn from you all each day.”

Other winners in the class of 2018 were the MJR Group’s Mike Jones; Paradigm’s Meryl Luzzi; UTA’s Maxim Karlik; Fullsteam’s Aino-Maria Paasivirta; DHP Family’s Kelly Bennaton; CAA’s Bradlee Banbury; Paper and Iron Booking’s Erin Coleman; Live Nation’s Tom Bownes; and K2 Agency’s Leo Benton.

To nominate someone you know to become one of the New Bosses, email [email protected] with their name and where they work.
