Banc of California Stadium (BOCS) Entertainment – the newly formed company dedicated to bringing music events to LA’s 23,000-cap. BOCS – has appointed Ryan Northcott as its new senior vice-president, in charge of booking all concerts and sports events other than Major League Soccer matches.
The appointment follows on from the success of BOCS Entertainment’s first-ever concert, the iHeartRadio Wango Tango festival on 2 June, hosting acts including Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Meghan Trainor, Backstreet Boys, 5 Seconds of Summer, Janelle Monáe and Marshmello.
Northcott will join Annie Benson, director of special events, and Angel Custodio, manager of special events, as well as Adam Friedman, recently announced as president of BOCS Entertainment and executive vice president of LAFC Sports, owner and operator of the stadium.
“Ryan joins us with an impressive track record of bringing world-class talent and entertainment to venues across California”
Northcott’s credentials include more than a decade of experience in the industry, recently serving as general manager of Citizens Business Bank Arena (11,089-cap.) in Ontario, California, for SMG, where in his first year he tripled the arena’s annual concerts from nine to 35. Northcott also worked as the director of booking for Oracle Arena (20,000-cap.) in Oakland, California, where he helped create a national booking platform that doubled the number of concert events at the arena in two years.
“Ryan joins us with an impressive track record of bringing world-class talent and entertainment to venues across California,” says Friedman. “As we look forward to developing first-tier events and experiences for Banc of California Stadium and Exposition Park, we are excited to welcome him to our growing team.”
