Texas-based event promotion company 35 Concerts has merged with Red Tail Entertainment under the banner of the latter. The company will consist of two departments: a live performance section known as Red Tail Live, and a producing division known as Red Tail Productions.

The former president of 35 Concerts, Marc Engel, will serve as the president of Red Tail Entertainment. An industry veteran of more than 30 years, Engel’s career has seen him managing assignments in venues such as the 2,195-seat Kravis Centre in Florida, the 2,450-seat Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee and the 2,472-seat Jackson Hall in Tennessee.

Drayer was named Top CEO by Morgan Stanley Ventures

35 Concerts has presented concerts featuring music and comedy artists such as Norah Jones, Dolly Parton, Harry Connick Jnr, the Beach Boys, Bill Maher and Martina McBride.

Phil Drayer will continue to serve as CEO of Red Tail Entertainment. In 2000 Drayer was named Top CEO by Morgan Stanley Ventures, and his second company was named one of Forbes Top 50 Best Run Companies in the US.

The title of vice-president and talent buyer will go to Kelsey Young. A graduate of Texas Christian University, Kelsey has been with 35 Concerts for three years, and has worked to create relationships for the company across the southeast and midwest of America.
