Paradigm Talent Agency has acquired Chicago- and California-based agency Monterey International, including its 14 agents and 200 acts.

Monterey’s staff in Carmel, California, office will move to Paradigm’s base in Monterey. The Chicago office will remain unchanged.

It’s the latest acquisition for Paradigm, which entered into a strategic partnership with the UK’s X-Ray Touring in April. It’s owned 50% of British agency CODA since January 2014, and took over at AM Only and The Windish Agency following partnership deals in 2012 and 2015, respectively.

“We’re very pleased that all of the Monterey International agents will be joining us.”

“We’ve been proud of and have had enormous success from our association with the former Monterey Peninsula Artists, and we’re very pleased that all of the Monterey International agents will be joining us,” Paradigm CEO Sam Gores said.

In a statement Monterey International partners Garry Buck, Paul Goldman and Ron Kaplan said: “We are very passionate about the jobs we do and the artists we represent and have been for decades. We are thrilled to join the talented team at Paradigm and be able to provide the wide range of services to offer our agents and clients under their remarkable banner.”

Artists represented by Monterey International include BADBADNOTGOOD, The Budos Band, Dave Lee Roth, John Mayall, Joss Stone and Whitesnake.
