Veteran label exec Chris Monaco has joined LiveStyle as chief revenue officer for brand partnerships and sponsorships.

Monaco (pictured), most recently senior VP of strategic marketing and brand development at Universal Music Group, will head up the electronic music conglomerate’s global partnerships team from its Beverly Hills office, “developing and executing brand strategy across the company’s event, content and digital platforms, providing world class brand solutions for all partners”, says the company.

Prior to joining Universal, Monaco spent spells at sports/entertainment brand agency Octagon and French distillery Pernod Ricard.

“Chris and I first worked together when he was at Octagon and I was the CEO of AEG Live, so I know his capabilities very well,” says LiveStyle CEO Randy Phillips, who joined the company last November. “His industry experience makes him a great addition as LiveStyle CRO as we continue to create new and innovative opportunities for our festivals, brands and fans.”

“This is an exciting time in live music, and even more of an exciting time to be a part of LiveStyle’s global family of brands, events and digital platforms”

Monaco adds: “I’m thrilled to join Randy and the entire management team at LiveStyle. This is an exciting time in live music, and even more of an exciting time to be a part of LiveStyle’s global family of brands, events and digital platforms. Everything we do will enrich the fan experience and how we interact with audiences; I’m looking forward to working with all of these like-minded communities worldwide.”

LiveStyle Inc., formed last September from the ashes of Robert Sillerman’s SFX Entertainment, is the world’s largest promoter of electronic music festivals.

Sillerman, who led SFX into a messy bankruptcy in February 2016, is now CEO of Function(x), which has recently been quietly buying up several clickbait online news companies, including BumpClick/ViralNova and Rant Inc.
