British vlogger Dan Middleton, whose channel has more subscribers than Ed Sheeran and Adele, will tour American theatres this spring

DanTDM, one of UK’s most popular YouTubers, will embark on his first North American tour this spring.
The man born Dan Middleton has the fourth most-subscribed YouTube channel in Britain – behind world no1 PewDiePie, One Direction and London-based YouTuber and rapper KSI, and ahead of Adele and Ed Sheeran – and has previously toured the UK and Australia with his live show. His net worth is reportedly around US$10 million.
IQ revealed last August that many agents and promoters feel YouTube personalities – and artists establishing themselves on the video platform – are potentially the stadium headliners of the future. “It’s only a matter of time until YouTube becomes a mainstream media platform, and these stars become household names alongside the people who are getting mainstream media exposure now,” said Coda’s Nick Matthews, who represents YouTuber-turned-arena filler Shawn Mendes.
DanTDM on Tour, produced by Endemol Shine UK and promoted by Live Nation, will see Matthews – whose channel focuses primarily on hit game Minecraft – tour 21 US venues from March to May.
“Dan’s an absolute star and, for many families, a household name”
The tour will kick off at the Orpheum Theatre (2,700-cap.) in Boston, Massachusetts, on 24 March, concluding at San Francisco’s The Masonic (3,165-cap.) on 7 May.
“Dan’s an absolute star and, for many families, a household name,” says Tom Greenwood-Mears, head of live events at Endemol Shine UK. “The tour has been really well received in the UK and Sydney, by kids and parents alike, so we are extremely excited to take it to Dan’s largest market, the US. For any fans of Dan this really is a must.”
Middleton adds: “I’m so excited to be bringing the tour to my amazing fans in America. My American audience have always supported me and this tour is a brilliant opportunity for me to bring my world to life for them. I can’t wait to travel across the country and meet as many fans as possible.”
