The Bungalow Paisley set to close

The town of Paisley, near Glasgow in Scotland, is set to lose one of its most popular live music venues, The Bungalow, management have confirmed.

The Bungalow broke the news to regulars that it will bring the curtain down on the 200-capacity club next month, with The Rezillos show on Saturday 9 April marking the end of an era. “It is with great sadness that we have to officially put the rumours to rest, The Bungalow will be closing its doors,” explained management on the venue’s Facebook page.

“The situation is completely out of our hands, as much as we would have liked to have continued doing what we really love so much. We would appreciate if you would join us in our home for the next few weeks as we have always welcomed everyone and anyone. Thank you to all the wonderful musicians who have played and the people who have come from near, far and wide to appreciate live music in our independent venue. A lot of passion, love, blood, sweat and tears have been put into the place – we are all truly heartbroken this is happening.”
