Just the two Georgia dance music festivals cancelled this month, then, as CounterPoint follows TomorrowWorld into the big greenfield site in the sky
By IQ on 15 Mar 2016
This year’s CounterPoint Music and Arts Festival has been called off.
The festival, which has taken place over three days in Kingston Downs, Georgia, US, since 2012, is promoted by MCP Presents, also behind BUKU, Lights All Night, Crash My Playa and, in partnership with ID&T/SFX, Mysteryland USA and the recently cancelled TomorrowWorld.
No reason was given for the cancellation, announced via CounterPoint’s Facebook page on Friday, although the post said organisers are “working on several options concerning the festival’s return”.
The 2015 festival was headlined by big names from the dance music world, including Knife Party, Excision, Kygo and Chet Faker.
