Dutch booking/management agencies Boostymusic and Alles Los have merged to form BLiP.
BLiP, whose agents are based in Amsterdam and Enschede, will focus on bookings, artist management and talent development. Starting in autumn 2016, it will also be involved in organising events and club nights.
“By sharing our knowledge and combining our rosters, we, as BLiP, expect to be able to provide better service to artists and respond to venues’ and festivals’ needs even more adequately,” said the new agency in a statement.
Its psychedelic, electronic and world music-heavy roster includes Jungle by Night, Broken Glass Ensemble, Cairo Liberation Front, Tears & Marble, Gallowstreet, Vurrwerk, The Mysterons, The Ex and Kuenta i Tambu.
No less than fourteen of its artists will be performing at Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen next week (below). On Friday night/Saturday morning (15–16 January) starting at 1.15 it will also host Ticket to the Tropics, described as “by far the most fun tropical party in the far north of the Netherlands”. (How many are there?) Music will be cumbia, afrobeat, Ethiopian music and “psychedelic Turk-funk”, with live sets by Gallowstreet and Cairo Liberation Front and DJ sets by Pushin Wood Soundsystem and KC the Funkaholic.
