The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has launched a fresh investigation into four major secondary ticket outlets.

Coming just two weeks after the publication of Professor Michael Waterson’s long-awaited report on the British ticket resale sector, the compliance review will determine whether StubHub, Viagogo and Ticketmaster’s Get Me In! and Seatwave are adhering to the legal obligations – specifically to provide information on any restrictions or additional charges on a ticket, its face value, whether seats are located together and a contact email for sellers – agreed with CMA in March 2015.

The competition watchdog says it has “not taken any decisions about whether there have been any breaches of consumer protection legislation, or what it might do once this review is completed”, but urges anyone with “relevant information” about the four sites and their business practices to come forward before 17.00 on 12 July.

Full details about the investigation can be found in a PDF at the CMA website.
